Renter is responsible!
The Lessee agrees to be entirely responsible for all damages or injury caused by any person or property of others, also to replace any loss or damage incurred to said articles, while in the custody of the Lessee. This includes damage to Lessee’s vehicle, personal injury or death, death of passengers or any other vehicle or person encountered while in possession of the rented trailer.
Trailer Consignments, LLC and any of its members are not responsible in any way for the contents transported in any rented trailer.
The Lessee agrees to be responsible for all toll charges incurred on any road, street, highway, freeway, toll road, turnpike of any of the united states and the country of Canada.
Lessee is accountable to follow all national, state and local laws pertaining to trailer towing on all United States and Canada roadways. Lessee agrees to pay all fines incurred while towing any trailer rented from Trailer Consignments, LLC.
Trailer Consignments, LLC makes every attempt to deliver a trailer for rent free from defects and in proper repair. However once the trailer has left the trailer lot at 5168 West Grand River Avenue, Lansing, Michigan, the rented trailer is now the sole responsibility of the Lessee including but not limited to: Hitch hook up, lighting hook up, break-away harness, tires and axles.
Definition of Rented Trailer – any trailer owned by Trailer Consignments, LLC or any member in possession of a person or persons other than a member of Trailer Consignments, LLC.
In case of trailer breakdown, Lessee agrees to do utmost to have necessary repairs made so trailer can be towed back to 5168 West Grand River, Lansing, MI by Lessee.
Trailer Returns:
Lessee agrees to return trailer to Trailer Consignments, LLC, 5168 West Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI on or around the verbally agreed upon return day and time. Lessee will make every effort to notify a Trailer Consignments, LLC member if an extension of time is needed. Lessee agrees to pay the verbally agreed upon added rental fee to Trailer Consignments, LLC or its member.
Deposits
Cash or Credit Card paid deposits are required when requested on a rental or purchase of a trailer or equipment from Trailer Consignments, LLC. Deposits are paid back in cash or credit to Lessee credit account when trailer(s) is returned in satisfactory condition per Trailer Consignments, LLC representative. If a Deposit is collected:
If for any reason trailer is not available for time reserved Lessor liable to extent of deposit only.
*A Booking and Administration Deposit of $___ shall be required from the Lessee at the time the Lessee books the trailer for a rental period. At the commencement of the rental period, the Booking and Administration Deposit shall be transferred to Damage Deposit.
After return of trailer, inspection will be completed and Damage Deposit will be refunded in cash or by mail providing the trailer is returned.
Insurance Disclaimer
It is assumed that Lessee carries appropriate insurance under all national, state and local laws. Lessee is responsible for all insurance coverage on trailer and contents of trailer owned by Lessee or Trailer Consignments, LLC
